Pune, December 2, 2024: The much-anticipated Pune Ring Road project has officially begun with the groundwork for its Eastern Phase. This major infrastructure initiative aims to enhance connectivity and ease traffic congestion in Pune.
The current phase involves developing a 24.5 km stretch connecting Pune Nagar Road to Solapur Highway. The contract has been awarded to Roadway Solution India Infra Ltd., which has set up its base at Wadebolhai village near Kesnand.
A traditional pooja and inauguration ceremony marked the project’s launch. The event saw participation from key dignitaries, including Mr. Ameet Gadhoke, Managing Director of Roadway Solution Infra, B.K. Singh, Director of Roadway India Infra, local politicians like Kunal Gupta and Vishal Ghule Patil, as well as villagers from the area.
Over 100 excavators and advanced machinery have been deployed to ensure rapid progress once the Maharashtra government officially inaugurates the project.
The Pune Ring Road will span approximately 170 km and is divided into four phases, with an estimated cost of ₹42,000 crores. This ambitious initiative is expected to not only decongest Pune’s urban roads but also bolster the city’s infrastructure and drive economic growth.
