A 15-year-old boy in Pune tragically died by suicide on July 26, after meticulously planning his death. The Class 10 student jumped from the 14th floor of his apartment in Pimpri-Chinchwad. Police found a detailed suicide note and sketches outlining his plan, as well as papers with gaming codes reflecting his interests.
The boy lived with his mother and younger brother while his father worked abroad. His mother reported his addiction to online gaming and reclusive behavior. On the day of the incident, he stayed in his room all day, emerging only briefly.
At midnight, a message in the society’s WhatsApp group reported a child had fallen. The mother found her son in the parking lot, already deceased. This incident has raised concerns about monitoring children’s mental health and activities to prevent similar tragedies.
